Are folders versionable? If so, How to know the folder version?

I want to know if folders can be versionable. I want to change the metadata of a specifict folder and change its version (if it's possible).

I want to see the folder previous versions that were archived and be able to restore them. Just to be clear, I just want to restore the folder metadata. Its children/content shouldn't be changed.

If I recall correctly folders (by default) are not versionable. However, you can add the versionable facet to folder definition () and then folders will be versionable. See documentation for how this works.
