Unable to recover a deleted site

Running Alfresco Community v5.2.0 (r135134-b14)

In Alfresco, there is a large number of sites in the trashcan. When I am trying to recover a site (as an Admin), an simple error box is displayed saying that the site can be recovered.

What can it be that prevent me from Recover my site?

That error is returned when the archived item cannot be restored because it is either

1. referring to an invalid (no longer existing) parent node
2. inconsistent with regards to data integrity (i.e. metadata is invalid - this may happen if some of your models have evolved since deleting the site and its contents)
3. other, unspecific errors, including unhandled exceptions

Unfortunately I could not find a logger to activate to get a full picture of the issue, but you should start with looking for for org.alfresco.repo.node.archive.NodeArchvieServiceImpl

We will investigate further into this matter and will put our attention to NodeArchiveServiceImpl.

Are you able to restore a Backup (before the deletion) to a VM and Export the Site?

You could try to Import it or - if this is not possible - get at least some of your data.
