Retrying transactions and org.springframework.dao.DuplicateKeyException

Is there a known reason why the exception org.springframework.dao.DuplicateKeyException is not in the list of retryable exceptions?

In a complex implementation, I am seeing this exception happening randomly. 

Just adding a retry, solves the problem.
