Recently, Alfresco posted about Alfresco 6.0 updates including containerization support using Docker with Kubernetes and Helm as a new installation/deployment direction. Does anyone know if there is an Early Access program for this?

I notice there is a basic github project for an Alfresco Chart for Helm (GitHub - Alfresco/charts: Source repository for Alfresco Kubernetes Charts. Please use http://kubern... ), but it doesn't really have much in it yet.

Hi Jeff, it looks like there is a bit more visible, but not much : Alfresco Software · GitHub Search

With DevCon 2018 comming up in January, you'll likely get most of the information about these containerisation-related topics at that conference or shortly afterwards in blog posts. I assume this also includes any information about Early Access programs. As with previous Early Access programs, it is likely that there will be special spaces within this community platform if/when there is a program specifically for the containerisation topics, though it may at first be restricted to partners / customers of the Enterprise Edition...

I guess the only thing to do is wait and stay attentive to any updates here. ... and of course to attend DevCon for direct conversations with Alfresco staff.

We do not yet have an Early Access program for this work. We will be releasing much of our work in that public GitHub repository and looking for community feedback. Then we will decide whether a formal Early Access program is necessary.

We will provide more information at DevCon (after we complete a couple more sprints of development).

Great, thanks! I'm trying to get a better idea on how to prep for these changes and want to know what they might look like and was thinking to kick the tires a bit with minikube locally.

We appreciate the enthusiasm. Our early thinking on this project was shared in the conversation Docker Alfresco Resources?

Since that time we have tried a few different approaches and we think we have converged on an approach we like. Shortly after the end-of-year holidays, we expect to start sharing what we have and seeking feedback.
