Preview is not updated after document has been edited

I just run into this problem. When I edit a document no matter how: in Microsoft Office or in Google Docs, preview is updated just once. All furhter edits are ignored in spite of the fact they are stored in the document. Log files do not give any clue, no errors mentioned. Can it be a permissions issue? My alfresco Data directory has the following permissions:

I am using dockerized Alfresco 6.1 CE installed on Ubuntu 18.04LTS

Any ideas much appreciated.

+1 same issue here with both observations.  1) Preview not updating 2) Error message: "Could not load PDF content"

@kovalev, @fcorti any further insight or assitance available to help get to the bottom of this?  Seems like it's impacting many, if not all.  Below is our system info.

This is affecting Alfresco content services 7.0.1.3 enterprise as well.So looks likes it was introduced from 6.1 and not addressed at all in both community as well as in enterprise. 

I am going to check this on 7.1 and come back

Fixed as per above JIRA on 5.0.x but somehow reindroduced again ?

Same issue on ACS 7.1 also.

@EddieMay @fcorti  @angelborroy Any insights on this bug that appears to have been reintroduced a while back?  It's a real UI problem trying to view edited MS Office files, which are plenty. Really poor end user experience for something that should work perfectly. Alfresco is ECM afterall, and MS Office files are king.  Issue happens even with same files less than 1MB.
