Edited: problem steel present. Look at post bellow.

It's one tip of using MS Office 2016 with AOS.

Do not install "Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Support" component form "Office Tools" section. It marks in registry as HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SyncIntegrationClients.

The problems is:

  1. Unstable saving file after online editing. File usely stuck in the Microsoft Office Upload Center and give an error.
  2. You can't compare and see versions of file in the Word (Review>Compare>Specific Version...).

The known solution EnableADAL=0 does not help me at all.

Hi,

I have allso still the issue. In the solution is descripted that the "Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Support" should not be installed, but how should this work "Office 2016" is a click and install Setup.

It is possible to make a custom install but, I found no entry to exclude a specific feature from the installation.

Can you descripe who do you removed the SharePoint Foundation Support?

Best regards

Martin

My application creates a local disk with WebDav (AOS). When I edit a document in docx format from MS Word 365, the document opens without having to provide credentials, but I cannot save the changes to it. When I edit from LibreOffice or MS Word 2007, a window appears to provide my WebDav credentials, and then the changes can be saved. Is it necessary to add an SSL certificate to edit in later versions of MS Word or is it something else?
