Drag & drop multiple file uploads: 5.1 OK, but not works on 5.2

Hi,

I have a strange problem when uploading through drag & drop multiple file uploads.

It works on Alfresco CE 5.1 but failed on 5.2 - which only single file uploaded.

Anyone has similar this issue?

Here are the version specs:

Alfresco Share v5.1.f

(r125711-b6, Aikau 1.0.63, Spring Surf 5.1.f, Spring WebScripts 6.5, Freemarker 2.3.20-alfresco-patched, Rhino 1.7R4-alfresco-patched, Yui 2.9.0-alfresco-20141223)

There is a known issue with Firefox that might be the cause here.

Additional info, my environments:

Windows 10

Firefox 52.0 (64-bit)  >> FAILED
Chrome 56.0.2924.87 (64-bit) >> OK

confirm - I have the same Problem

client Windows 7, but only on Firefox (52.0), not on chrome 56.0.2924.87 or IE11

client MacOS Sierra, problem on Firefox (51.x), ok-noerror on Safari 10.03 and  Chrome 56...

client Windows 10, no problem with edge-browser

so like Axel stated, it's the Firefox Issue

Hi,

Just to clarify.

It's Firefox (52.0) issue only for Alfresco CE 5.2.0, but it's fine on Alfresco 5.1.0.

That's what I can confirm on my platform.

So, it's possible problem on Alfresco 5.2.0 (?)

Yes - so far it only affects Firefox 51 / 52 on Alfresco 5.2. This is due to the new feature that allows upload of folders via drag&drop and an apparently incomplete implementation of a new (not yet standardised) API by Firefox.

The Alfresco Jira issue mentions that it has been fixed, but it is not clear on what exactly needs to be done to fix it for existing 5.2.e installations.

Does anyone know what the fix for this is? Is see no changes in dnd-upload.js .

I just try with following specs and it works now!

Alfresco Share v5.2.f
Alfresco Community v5.2.0

Firefox 56.0 (64-bit)
Windows 10
