Hi There,
I've inherited a Alfresco server in my current role, which seems to be running low on disk storage space, looking at the files in use the contentstore appears to be the main culprit.
contentstore.deleted has some files from Oct 2019 onwards, but nothing in between - is there a way to 'clean these directories?' there shouldn't be that much data in them, there are only a few Gb of files in the alfresco repository.
We're using quite an old version - 4.2.8 - can anyone point me into a direction where I can clear some space?
Thanks in advance

You can't remove anything from "contentstore" folder. These are the documents of your repository.
You can remove any file from"contentstore.deleted" folder having more than 60 days.
Hope this image helps you to understand how the information lives in Alfresco:
