Alfresco Community as BI Platform

Has anyone tried to use Alfresco community as a BI Microsoft platform? Actually, what I need, is to be used as a repository for excel files (.xlsx) with graphs and other databases datasources!

I know what a BI platform is -especially how Sharepoint integrates with MS BI- however what we need at this point is to check, if alfresco could replace a part of this functionality... So, my question still remains if someone uses Alfresco for BI...

Alfresco can be integrated with Pentaho for BI.

You can use Alfresco to store Excel files, if that's what you mean.
