Created a simple wiki for basic test needs
The wiki page itself rendered out fine.
but now I add the wiki dashlet to the portal and then configure the page and the portal page no longer renders and the browser just goes into a spin wait state.
it seemed to render once in Firefox, but failed in IE6 then I restarted and the same result occurred in firefox, IE & Chrome.
Platform windows
community version 3.3 5/7/10

I am having the same issue, but have only tested with Firefox 3.6.3.
I modified the Main Page entry for a site and attempted to configure the wiki dashlet to display it.
It worked initially, but once you browse away and go back, the dashboard fails to render and the browser hangs.

Well, I am not sure what fixed it, but CPU usage went to 100% almost every time.
I updated the PDFBox libraries and also the Spring libraries. Finally I turned off the 'strip HTML' flag in the dashlet/wiki.get.js file since Tiny MCE uses HTML markup and everything now works.
Hope this helps,
Mike

I am having the exact same problem. Could you please specify how one goes about to do this modification, turning off the flag? I'm so noob it hurts
Is it an actual file you modify, or a setting from within admin panel?
Thanks in advance

I will need to try that, I modified the Wiki so that the initial page was simpler and this resolved my issue.

Please raise these sort of issues in JIRA, especially if they're reproducible. Examples of HTML that cause problems will help provide an "out of the box" fix.
Thanks,
Mike

Could it be some kind of database misconfig? It's in my case that ä and that seem to cause the hiccup.
I'm running Ubuntu 10.04, JDK 1.16.0_18, db is UTF-8, can't remember if it was Postgres or mysql…tried both so many times, trying to install the deaar thing to begin with.
