Since it seems impossible to reference the same object (for instance a document) in more than one Space, yesterday I did some tests using the "shortcut" feature.
A shortcut behaves like a link, contained in a Space, pointing to another Space or another Document. Alfresco seems also to maintain a reference of all shortcuts created (so if I delete the original document, the shortcuts are automatically deleted), and this is OK.
Initially this seemed to address my requirement, but then I discovered that shortcuts are not shown when accessing Alfresco via CIFS.
Why does this happen? Is there a technical reason why shortcuts are not visible in CIFS?
Maybe a bug?
