Why not Alfresco install itself as OS service by default?

After I installed Alfresco and FSR, to my surprise  is that Alfresco needs developer to configure it as OS service. Why not Alfresco do this thing by default?  You know, it is very inconvenient and unacceptable to let developer do it after installed a new system.

So raise an enhancement request.  

Or better yet contribute a solution.

The simple answer is that its mostly dev environments on Windows so its not neccessary.   If I've got this wrong then please vote for the above enhancement request or better yet contribute a solution.
