Which user interface? JSF or SURF Platform?

Hello folks,

We have a struts application which talks with IBM Filenet ECM system using Filenet Java API.

We want to migrate from Filenet to Alfresco but confused regarding the User interface to be used.

Either we can replace Filenet API with Alfresco WebServices or we can customize Alfresco client to achieve same functionality.

From http://ecmarchitect.com/archives/2009/04/20/971 link it says that customizing WebClient is not recommended as Alfresco will be moving to Surf platform.

Our applicaton features are basic document management, no workflow required.

Does Surf platform means we have to customize ALfresco Share application?

Please guide as I am newbie to Alfresco.

It really depends what your requirements are. If it is just basic document management, then Share probably already does it.
