Hi, im new to alfresco,
I installed alfresco Lab 3 and configured with Oracle 10g. now i created a new user  with first name, Last name and email id.
Now my question is where this data has been stored? whether in DB or file system?
because i searched in DB, i could not found any data like username and first name , email id.. but i can able to access this information by using $ {person.properties.emailid}. it ll print email id. can anyone tell me where the information has been stored?

help would highly appriciated..

Hi lenin

Have u searched the content store in alf_data(in root directory). This data is stored in .bin format which could be traversed respectively the folders in datewise, but the file name is a random alpha-numeric.All the files (xml, doc, gif…)are stored respectively in .bin files only.

You can see users created in alf_authority table data in oracle 10g.

Native Alfresco authentication system is what you get out of the box, which stores username and password in the DB.
But it could be configured with external systems refer

Alfresco is a Document Management system, so the focus is more on DM rather than user management.
select * from alf_authority where authority like '%ss%'; will show the users…
DB is totally abstracted , and hardly we run sql queries as Alfresco provides
a rich interface for managing quite a lot of things.
