When will WebDAV be Fixed in 1.4 Community?

Hello Group,

Any idea when WebDAV will be repaired in Alfresco 1.4?  Currently, it does not support PUT operations.  I understand it has been repaired in Enterprise version.

Clearly it isn't enough just to compile ONE library; I guess this means a FULL recompile.

Now if I only could revert back to my old 1.3 installation…

Not the best nor supported way to do this but it seems to work fine for now with me: just threw in the remote-api.jar from the preview2.0-version into my test-1.4 deployment and all that I tested seemed to work fine.
After all it should be the compiled version of latest code (by that time..)

It might be worth a try. All I need now it to be able to install the (RELEASED!) 2.0 version. Sadly, though, the console-based install for 2.0 is broken, and there is no idea when that gets fixed. Apparently, the Alfresco team thinks that everybody running a server will have KDE/Gnome installed — which I most certainly won't have on a production server!

So, it'll be a pain to see if I can use the tomcat-based download with "manual" installation and use it. Customers are despairing, because they just love Alfresco — and there seems to be no way they answer our request for buying a license of the Enterprise Edition, so, while we wait for that request, I'll have to do my best in figuring out how to get the Community Edition working for them
