We need to ingest 240,000+ files very quickly.
The files are paired up - a data file with an xml file that contains the meta information.
We tried a couple of tests, namely:
CMIS client
Custom action, run on the fiels after they have been copied into Alfresco over WebDav.
We have not tried (yet) to multi-thread/process the CMIS approach. Also the action approach is slightly problematic since the pairs can arrive in the directory at different times.
Ideally we'd like to do something like copy all the files over the network as a zip/tgz bundle and then hand them to something running on the Alfresco server to load them up - is this possible - how?
If not what is best - any ideas?
