Trying to get Alfresco 3.0 (w/o SDK) running on FreeBSD 7.1-RELEASE with Tomcat 6.0 and native Java (JDK1.6/JDK6). Still having some severe problems (http://forums.alfresco.com/en/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=17961#p59117) but I'm looking forward to get it running afterall.

I am currently trying to run Alfresco 3.2 for evaluation purposes in JBoss 5.0.1 on top of Windows 2003 Standard Edition.  It looks like there are some issues with JBoss 5, so I'll try again with JBoss 4.2.3.  I also tried running with the default Tomcat and it was great.

SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP2 with Novell OES 2 SP1.
It's running an Novell eDirectory, and Alfresco Community Edition 3.2.
Alfresco users are authenticated against the local eDirectory LDAP.

Enabled partner repositories.
sudo apt-get install alfresco-community

That's it. Works like a charm.
