I am new to alfresco and I downloaded Community Edition 3.2r. during the setup I found the following bug

Status is closed and the comment says:
Verified against 3.2 E build 36

My question is what is the difference in 3.2E and 3.2r? Is there a patch that I can apply to my version? I downloaded the binary version with tomcat.

3.2E is the Enterprise version.

However, that fix was committed to Community on 25th June:

- Fixed parsing of timestamps
- Fixed resolution of group members
- Shared Spring configuration with ldap subsystem
- Authentication still only supported with DIGEST-MD5 binding enabled - chain with passthru authentication otherwise‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍

You may need to upgrade to 3.2r2 to get the fix.

I have built Alfresco from source and the bug still exists. Not sure what to do next!

If it's reproducible, then please raise a new issue in JIRA giving as many details as possible.

The bug you reference is a really old one that was fixed in 3.2E. Please paste in your alfresco-global.properties and the full stack trace from the logs. You should probably start a discussion thread with a more relevant title.
