What causes the ability to 'deploy' to suddenly go away?

Hi,

I've been playing around on labs3b for the last couple weeks and I've set up 2 FSRs. . . one on my localhost that is used as a "test" server that I've been able to deploy my sandbox to.  The other is a "live" server that can be deployed to from the staging area.

Suddenly, the ability to "Deploy" from either a sandbox–>test or staging–>live has gone away. . . the menu item isn't even there.  I'm still logged in as the admin/admin and nothing else configuration-wise has changed.  I did import a big directory structure into my sandbox and then "undo" it by reverting all my modified items, but that shouldn't cause me to not be able to deploy, right?

Is there some system-wide thing that could suddenly prevent any deployments from being offered?

TIA,
Tom

This has happened to me as well and it is driving me crazy.  If you found a solution please let me know.  Thanks.

check if your FSR reciever is running? If not start the FSR receiver and restart alfresco to check if deployment option is enabled.

Other things to check include:

1) Is there only a single test server that some other sandbox is already attached to?

2) Is the content you're trying to deploy attached to some workflow?

I recently fixed a problem where the "deploy" button disappears after renaming the web project.     It seems to be accounting for many of the  "disappearing deploy button" reports.
