webuser self-registration possible ?

Hello Friends,

I am currently evaluating Alfresco Community Edition
ver 2.0 (ECM + WCM) for building user submitted
content based website.

I am looking for webuser self-registration (membership management)
with following support:

- Email verification for user registration
- captcha support
- remember me on this machine
- profile management (editing for password/email/other)
-password recovery (forgot password)

I have gone through tutorials, Alfresco Book
(by Munwar Shariff) , available docs and have
searched on google but could not find info regarding
this.

The default user management in alfresco is admin
driven. Are there any add-ons available to make user
self-registration possible ?

You should be able to write your own custom login logic in your web app using our APIs and creating a user account with appropriate profile data in your Alfresco repo.  You can of course create and test this code in the context of your sandbox within a Web Project, which is really designed to help you build such dynamic business logic in your sites through our virtualization server and support for code and content management.

While you could implement a custom login screen today,
I think this is a really great feature request.  Whether a
community contribution is received or Alfresco ends up
doing something like this, I'd like us to track it.

Therefore, I've filed it as a feature request for you.
