WebDav metadata and WebFolders client

I want to use WebDav in order to make the alfresco repository visible from WebFolders like a standard Windows drive on my Windows XP.
Everithing works, hovever I didn't find the way to make the user able in insert custom metadata (like aspects) when I use it from webfolders.
Is there any way?
Could You suggest an alternative WebDav client able to do such operation ?

How do you insert non-custom metadata using webfolders?

Non custom metadata are automatically inserted (date, size etc..)
I didn't find the way to manage them.
