WebDAV basic authentication with LDAP accounts

I have installed alfresco 5.0.b with working LDAP synchronization and WebDAV authentication via NTLM. It is working well on windows machines, but I want to use it with android and iphone apps which do not support NTLM authentication. It is possible to use LDAP accounts with basic autentication on WebDAV side?
