I checked out the Head from svn and compiled it.
Everything went fine. When I start Alfresco and login, I see Alfresco.
I wanted to try the WCM Product Evaluation Tutorial. However, there are no Web Projects space under Company_Home. Also there is no Web Forms space under Data dictionary.
Do I have to install these separately?
thanks,

This just happened to me too. I'm wondering if they're in the process of moving WCM into a module.

Yes we are separating the WCM features - the main reason is so that we can have the Virtualisation Server as a separate download - the bundles are big enough as it is, and is not required if you don't need the WCM features.
This is the SVN commit that changed the setup:
Hope this helps,
Kevin
This is the SVN commit that changed the setup:
Decided against the AMP approach for the WCM enabling. Went instead for simple config approach, which still allows for separate download, but doesn't require WAR patching.NOTE….A new repo will not have Web Projects or Web Forms spaces on bootstrap. To get them (and therefore access to all WCM features), just add the wcm-bootstrap-context.xml into the classpath (e.g. tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco/extension) and restart. Once a repo has these spaces, this config is no longer needed. The distribution bundles still need to be updated so that virtual-tomcat and this config are built as a separate download bundle.M projects\repository\config\alfresco\patch\patch-services-context.xml
Hope this helps,
Kevin

Thanks Kevin,
This works.
I subsequently went through the steps in the "Web Content Management - Product Evaluation Guide".
I can create the users, project, forms, import the sample war etc.
But when I try to follow the steps to create Content of type Company_footer, I get an Error in Step 2.
In step 1 provided Name - Alfresco,
Type - Content,
Content type: XML –> clicked next.
Entered the Name and Text for the Body —>Clicked next,
It just hangs …in the top right corner in Orange text I see "Loading…"..
I clicked on cancel after a long time and tried again…this time I got a brief error …
XMLHttpTransport Error: 0 and then got the main screen under web projects again.
There are no exceptions, though there is an error (which I think is not related to this at all)..
15:22:47,343 ERROR [renderkit.html.HtmlMessageRendererBase] Could not render Mes
sage. Unable to find component 'sandboxes-panel' (calling findComponent on compo
nent 'website:_id11'). If the provided id was correct, wrap the message and its
component into an hanelGroup or hanelGrid.

This error has been fixed for 2.0 final - correct it is not related to your issue.
Thanks,
Kevin

Kevin,
I got the stuff to work on another machine. The earlier machine was my regular development machine with a bunch of JDks, class paths etc..
I am suspecting some jar version mi match may have happened.

Hi,
We get the same error and we think it has something to do with our installation or network infrastructure.
Any ideas on how you got this fixed?
I started a new thread on our issue. See:
http://forums.alfresco.com/viewtopic.php?p=20046
cheers,
Edgar
