What are my options for setting up a virtualization server if I'm downloading the WAR-only bundle of Alfresco 2.0 preview? It seems like I ought to be able to point to an existing tomcat instance for previewing provided it is configured correctly.
I decided it was a lot less trouble to download the bundle and then extract the virtual-tomcat directory than it was to try to set up virtualization on an existing server.
The virtualization server cannot be the same installation of tomcat that runs the Alfresco webapp. Your best bet is to use the preconfigured virtual-tomcat because it also has various conf & jar files needed for proper virtualization.
