Hi,
I have Alfresco 4.0.d installed on CentOS.
I use Kingsoft Office [http://www.ksoffice.net] instead of Micosoft office.
When editing and then saving the document from Kingsoft Writer and Spreadsheets via CIFS, the document doesn't have any aspect.

How do I get the document which has the aspect of versioning?

Thanks.
Cinnamon

After uploading the document in alfresco.
You have to log in in to alfresco webclient and explicitly you need to add that versionable aspect to document.
Link "Allow Versioning" will be available in the document detail page. You just need to click on that to add that aspect.

Thank you for your helpful comment, mitpatoliya.
I tried to add that aspect as you said, and the document had the aspect.
After that I edit and save the document from Kingsoft Office, the document has no aspect.

When I tried in the same way on MS Office and OpenOffice, the document had hold the aspect.
I want to use on OpenOffice, but I have to use Kingsoft Office at my Office.

How do I get the document which has the aspect of versioning on Kingsoft Office?

Someone needs to analyse how Kingsoft is saving its files over CIFS then we will have some information to go on.   It could be as simple as just configuration or it may need new code.   Start with either a wireshark capture or alfresco debug logging.

It's probably worth pointing out that Kingsoft is not supported.
