version 3 final release

how lond does it usually stay in beta?

Good to know.  I will check.

My overriding point remains is that 3 series labs is totally broken for any company larger than a couple employees using Alfresco as a CIFS file store.  Given that 99% of companies will want Active Directory/Samba integration it seems like there is a big hole in the QA process.  And given the 3D time frame it appears that will remain broken for a month or two hence.

It is very annoying. Haven't been able to get the CIFS passthru working since 2.1, despite attempts on the forums/JIRA to raise the issue. Would love to start making use of more of the features of Alfresco, but a large scale rollout for us is out of the question without proper shared drive support. I've tried it in 3a,b,c with no joy as well as 2.9B.
