Valid User with valid password is not able to login

I have been using Alfresco with the valid username and corresponding valid password. suddenly Alfresco is not able to login with the same valid username and password.

What went wrong i am not able to trace.Can anyone share similar kind of problem earlier with the resolution.

This is really urgent for me. please reply on this post

Generally this error indicates that Alfresco cannot find the Lucene indexes (required to lookup users amongst other things…) - have you started the server from a different start directory? Did you configure the alf_data directory to a absolute location rather than the default relative location of ./alf_data? Check to see if you have two alf_data directories.
