Using Sharepoint from Mac OS X/Linux

Has anyone managed to successfully connect yet?

I'm currently trying to set up Sharepoint access on my local machine but having little success.. Office seems to recognise that a Sharepoint server exists but refuses to connect and connecting directly to http://localhost:7070/alfresco presents a login window (which accepts my username and password) but then simply shows 'not found'.

The instructions at http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/SharePoint_Protocol are useless - I've tried setting up Firefox to replicate a 'trusted site' as much as possible but with no luck.

I've also been through all the points in this thread; http://forums.alfresco.com/en/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=20384&p=66482&hilit=sharepoint+connect#p66482 with no luck.

I'll post my logs up soon but just wondering if I'm banging my head against a brick wall for no reason as it won't work anyway right now!

Using OS X 10.5.8 and Alfresco CE 3.2 by the way

Hello,

I linked some patches into the mentioned ticket.
The patches fixing problems with basic authentification and MacOffice 2011, implementing three new SOAP calls that were missing to provide directory and file listings in DocumentConnection and fixing a problem with the Checkout in DocumentConnection.

With that you can now do the follwing things with Document Connection from MacOffice 2011:

- Login (even with Basic Authentication
- Browse documentlibrary
- Open Documents for reading
- Upload Documents (with a bug that keeps them locked after upload)
- CheckOut Documents for editing

Things that are not working yet:

- Upload of documents without having them locked afterwards
- CheckIn Documents (after editing)

I tracked down the Upload issue but haven't found a fix yet but I can provide some details if that is needed.

So far I haven't got any reaction to that work, that's why I tried to explain here what I did.
If you want me to upload the patches somewhere else please tell me.
