Using same license key for dev and Prod

Hi,

I have a small query,

Can I use the same license key for my two different servers.
Actually I have a dev environment and a production environment and I overrided my production code to dev environment along with the license key.

Can that result my system to go into read only mode where I may not be able to perform any transaction.

Hello,

license keys for Alfresco are independent of environment - there is no DEV, TEST or PROD sepcific license key. They can be exchanged without any detrimental effect to the operation of the server provided the new license is a valid key.
