What does 'nbtstat -A <server ip address>' output?
Your {localname} is not localhost. It will be the machine name. It should be the one returned by 'hostname'.
lavoro@enrico-laptop:~$ nbtscan 127.0.0.1
Doing NBT name scan for addresses from 127.0.0.1
IP address NetBIOS Name Server User MAC address
