User 'templates'

Hi,

I'm not sure that I've posted this in the right area, but hopefully someone can help me out. 

I'm working with a wide variety of users, and I need them all working with Alfresco.  What I'd like to do is create accounts for all of them, and have their Home Spaces prepopulated with a few folders that have permissions and rules setup already.  Each account would have the same folders/rules, just in their home spaces.  Is there an easy way to do this?

I´m searching for the same issue.
Is it possible to create users and give them their spaces and sub-spaces according to a certain template? That they have i.e. three suxc
I know that it is possible to use a template to create a space, but i want to create a user by template so that we find a fixed structure for each user, which is created by that "user template". Thx for reply

There is something called a User Home Folder Provider which may help you:

Hi Kevin,
is it possible by this to set up a basic structure for the user that i create? So that all users that are created find the same structure of folders, rules etc. within their home space, which can be regularly defined by picking or setting up one in the create user menu?
I´m not sure, how the mentioned functions could help me.

I figured it out, the other way round.
There is the possibility of creating Space Templates, these are just the informations about the Space Structure. You can create new spaces, based on these templates or existing Spaces (which have a certain structure) and then give them as homespaces to new users. This way, they all have the same structure and you just have to create a Space, by using the "Advanced Space Wizard" and rename it the way you like (User name or whatever) and give it as homespace to the new user.
