Use of prototype

Quick question : Can I extend the user in the back end by the use of Prototype ?
Seems logical, I wanted to extend the user with another Boolean like isAdmin

but I see the backend JS code all ways extend model.

Nope does not seem to work the same as in Javascript

I tried user.prototype.createSite = createSite; and it errors with createSite is undefined.
Bummer it would have been very usable.
