Uploaded file,Is it in the database or in OS file system

Hi All
   I am evaluating  3.4.c
   Would like to find know where my file are stored once I import or doing add content
is it in the database or in the system file system

On the file system, but it'll have been renamed.

Actually once you upload the content of create the content.
Orignal content will not be stored in the database only the properties attached with that content will be stored in the database.
Actual content will be stored in form of binary file in the alfresco repository.
