Upload over 500kb fail [Solved]

In the initial setup of 3.3g community server on linux.

  I find when documents over aprox 500kb are upload to the document library it fails.
  I find no log entries.

  has anyone else had this issue  or not have this issue running linux rhle community version 3.3g.

  my windows version seems fine, I expect it's something in the server configuration but I don't know what to look for.

  any pointers at all would be nice.

issue resolved.
   the nic card in the pc was set to auto negotiate and when changed to 100 full to match the router the problem was solved.
