Upgrading to 3 Stable from 3C

I am trying to upgrade from 3C to 3 Stable on a Windows server platform using mysql and am having problems.  I did the following:

1.  Stopped Alfresco Labs 3C
2.  backed up my alf_data directory
3.  backup up the mysql database using mysqldump to alf3c.sql
4.  Renamed my c:\alfresco directory to c:\alfresco.3c
5.  Installed Alfresco Labs 3Stable complete
6.  Installed Java JDK 6 from Sun and set the Java_home variable
7.  Copied the alf_data directory that had been in use to the c:\alfresco directory
8.  restored alf3c.sql using mysql alfrescost <alf3c.sql (no error messages)
9.  Started up the the 3Stable instance.

In the middle of the loading alfresco I received the following error:

org.alfresco.error.AlfrescoRuntimeException: A previous schema upgrade failed or was not completed.  Revert to the original database before attempting the upgrade again.

followed by a bunch of information and the alfresco instance does not load.

Any thoughts on what the problem may be?

In the database there is a table bootstra_lock

It doesn't contain data, delete this table and start again.
This table is created when you where in an upgrade

I did not find a table bootstra_lock, though there was one called alf_boostrap_lock.  I tried dropping that and then there was an error with a file that was t_alf_store and then t_alf_node.  Nothing that I did seemed to make it work.  It would blow up differently, but it still blew up.

For background, I am running alfresco on a windows server, using mysql version 14.62, 5.0.67, JDK 1.6.0_11 and installed using the complete file.  The Alfresco Labs 3C runs just fine but upgrading to 3D fails in the bootstraping of the DB.  Before trying to start, I had deleted the old database file and recreated it so that it was fully blank and then used mysql to restore from my dump file from my 3C database.
