Upgrading from 4.0.X to 4.2.a

Hi
Is there any database changes in 4.2 compared to 4.0.X
How could a upgradation be done from 4.0.X to the present 4.2.a, any scripts for the upgrading

All upgrade scripts are packaged within the alfresco.war. So in theory you could just stop alfresco, replace the war files, and then start.
But for 4.2.a you also need to upgrade to Java 7, and to Tomcat 7. Unless you use the installers, then you get them with the installer.

Not that just dropping in new war files is NOT recommended. Follow safety procedures and create a test environment first.
