upgrade to 2.1 failed

I am trying to upgrade to 2.1 via a database restore and copying alf_data from a 2.0 version, hoping that the schema upgrade scripts that are part of the upgrade will work.  They didn't, so I ran them manually through Query Analyzer.

Now this is the error that I get:

org.alfresco.error.AlfrescoRuntimeException: A previous schema upgrade failed.  Revert to the original database before attempting the upgrade again.

I have already tried import / export and that doesn't work. My system is running Windows and SQL Server 2000.

Hi

If there's a bootstrap_lock table, you can drop that and try the start-up again.

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks for the tip.  We ended up making the upgrade work by
1. installing a working 2.1 Alfresco
2. capturing the upgrade scripts in the tomcat\temp folder
3. overwriting the blank repository with a snapshot of our production database and the alf_data folder
4. manually running the upgrade scripts using Query Analyzer
5. restarting the server

And presto - we have what we want, our intranet in 2.1 completely intact! Smiley Very Happy Smiley Very Happy Smiley Very Happy
Took a week, but it would've taken much longer if it weren't for all those who came before us and left all the valuable posts in this forum. Thanks.

Warning: Do not use the 2.1 upgrade scripts AS is - they are incomplete. Alfresco does something to them during the upgrade process.
