Upgrade 4.2c to 5.0a Windows Server

Hi guys please point to the right direction on upgrade from version 4.2c to 5.0a Windows Server 2012 and MySQL.

When I install new app and copy alf_data to a new Alfresco folder the app does not work also I tried to copy tomcat and alf_data to the new folder and again no luck.

Please read the backup and restore documentation.  You need the database as well as the content store.
