Unable to login

I am using Alfresco 1.1.2, Tomcat 5.0.28 and JDk1.5.0.

I am able to suceesfully deploy the .war file available on the site.

But I am not able to login to the welcome/ intial screen using the default username & password (both "admin")

Could you post the contents of the alfresco.log file you should find in Tomcat's bin directory, especially any errors it may contain.

Well, that's my error:

16:33:02,489 WARN  [org.alfresco.web.app.servlet.AuthenticationHelper] Unable to login as Guest: Access Denied. You do not ha
ve the appropriate permissions to perform this operation

Tomcat 5.5.12, Alfresco 1.2.1 (builded from source)

I can't login with admin/admin too. I'll try that MD4 Hash trick that's in the wiki.

I just installed on Solaris 10 and got exactly the same problem. Did you managed to get around this?

… though there is a still a small problem with ImageMagick as mentioned in the post.
