Unable to delete a user

I was trying to delete a user, following error appears:

Please correct the errors below then click OK.

    * Unable to delete the User object associated with the Person. This is not an error if an external authentication mechanism such as NTLM was previously active.

Why am I unable to delete this user? I already deleted his Space
