Hi!

I have installed Alfresco-Community-2.1R1-Linux-x86-Install on a Suse Enterprise 10.
Alfresco has a version history on files, if you delete a file, are they gone or do they end up in a trash can that you can been recoverd from.
Can you configured Alfresco so all deleted files end up in a trash can?

Hi,

You can restore deleted file…

- Login as admin
- Go to User options
- Manage Deleted Items
- Search for the deleted items
- Restore it to its original location (i.e. just click "yes") or somewhere else

How long will the deleted items remain there? Is it max 30 days?

Alfresco won't deleted items from the trash can, however Bertrand Magnier's "trashcancleaner" contribution will allow you to configure this:
