Transaction didn't commit: Cannot deactivate transaction

I occasionally get this error with alfresco within the web client

Transaction didn't commit: Cannot deactivate transaction

I have the suspicion that its due to lack of VM memory causing tomcat to restart and somhow having to init a transaction and failing on the first instance but not sure.

If this is a common or known error any info much appreciated

I've not personally seen this before. Can you provide any more info on your system? Unix/windows flavor, database type etc.?
