Tomcat gives 401 while running the webscript from browser

I am new to alfresko and webscript both.

Trying to run a URL that gives me list of all webscripts available in system
http://localhost:8080/alfresco/service/index

Tomact gives "401 This URL needs to be Authenticated"

Need help.

You need to be administrator to access this service.

Did you get prompted to enter a login? if yes did you cancel it or enter a simple member login?
