Tomcat Couldnt start

Tomcat unable to start or stop.

Please Help me..,

I have seen a posting that - Deleting Catalina.pid will resolve this issue.,

Is this correct ! what might be the reason for this and what is the permanent solution to fix this..,

Could be.   If that's your problem.

The correct "solution" is not to crash your server.

Or you can delete the lock file on machine startup.

Or use another application server.

As per your suggestion , i deleted the lock file and i am able to start the alfresco service.

Issue is that - I am facing this particular problem for every 3 - 5 days.

And i never shutdown my server nor stopped alfresco. What might be the cause ? & How to Overcome this permanently ?

Kindly help me - its in production.
