To trasform a Word Document to a PDF is required OpenOffice?

Hi,

to trasform a file from DOC to PDF is required install OpenOffice and execute it in background? I have installed Microsoft Office and the business rules that I've just created don't work.

PS: I can realize it also with a custom script ( e.g. doc.transformDocument("application/pdf"); )?

Hi

Yes - you need to have Open Office on the server for document transformations of this type.

Just take care of your version of OpenOffice. Version 2.0.2 has a problem for transformations through Alfresco  (if I remember well the version number).
