Tasks greyed out using Office 2007 via Sharepoint Protocol

Hi,

I have suscessfully installed the vti-module and have created a workspace in Share using the Sharepoint Protocol with Office 2007 that shows my folders, members and links etc in Office 2007 as Sharepoint would.

The trouble I have is that in Office 2007 the tasks pane is greyed out and not showing the tasks from my site as I had hoped.

Has anyone come across this problem before and could someone give me some advise.

Gerald

Hi,
the tasks pane does not display the alfresco tasks, but only the "tasks" generated via the MS sharepoint api. The same with MOSS instead of alfresco, by the way 😞

Gerald

Hi Gerald,
that seems to be rooted in the MS protocol. You can define "task lists" in a MOSS site, these are shown in the task pane in MS Office 2007. This way, you only see those tasks, that are MOSS related.
Outlook Tasks or Alfresco tasks are kept in a different places and are not integrated.

Talking of show stopper - it depends on which clients the people are supposed to use with Alfresco repository. If you work in Office exclusively, maybe "SHARE" client, that should suffice, otherwise, you will have to code.
