Support for CMIS in Share

Hello,

I am familiar with Alfresco CMIS services and I know that Alfresco is a big promoter of CMIS.
So I could build my own CMIS application that uses a CMIS repository like Alfresco, but what about Alfresco's own application Share?
Am I able to plug Share into another CMIS-complient repository?
I've seen marketing information that Alfresco Share RM is supposed to be fully CMIS enabled.

But… I'm not able to find anywhere in the Share or Share RM configuration anything that would let me use a CMIS storage repository other than that of Alfresco's.
Am I missing something?

Regards

Share was released prior to CMIS specification being available.

No Share will not run on another repository, since it provides more functionality than is available via CMIS and depends upon other interfaces provided by Alfresco.

I'm sure there will be a CMIS browser for Surf at some time that would allow you to browse any CMIS repo and other products
that connect to Alfresco via CMIS.    However it probably won't be Share.

Thanks for your responses.

That didn't stop Alfresco from releasing a CMIS API prior to it becoming a standard.    Smiley Happy

In the Alfresco Product marketing slides it says the following as a description of Records Management:
"The First CMIS-enabled Records Management Solution for Federated Access".

I've seen similar quotes in other Alfresco marketing.
Is this just wrong?  Or premature?
