StartTLS with LDAP

Hi all,

we want to connect Alfresco 4.2 to an eDirectory LDAP server. The communication needs to use the StartTLS technology (not ldaps).

Will this be possible using the current Alfresco implementation?

Did you find out if this is possible? It looks like its port 636 ldaps or unencrypted authentication. . No one really support secure ldap authentication with starttls. I bet there is even less support for SASL authentication.
