Hi,

In order to handle special characters like ™₤€… I save them to the DB in the next formt &#xxx; where xxx is their unicode.

I use alfresco as repository for my portals. The portals looks OK (™₤€…) with this but in the alfresco I don't see ™₤€… . What  I see™₤€…

The value binding of the JSP component change the & to & even that &#xxx; is html entity.

How can I fix that? Any Idea?

Alfresco directly supports UTF-8 format strings - and therefore itself performs the conversion from UTF-8 to the &#XXXX; format when rendering HTML. This means you should not save data in the &#XXXX; format - but instead save it in UTF-8 format - and ensure your database is using the UTF-8 character set.
