some users can't upload documents to some folders

Hi,

I have a problem with uploading documents for some users some of the time. When the user tries to upload, the dialog box shows the progress until 100%, then the bar turns red and nothing happens anymore. All are collaborators or managers, and the same file usually can be uploaded by another user. It seems to be restricted to uploads to a specific folder as well, uploading the same document to a different folder by the same user works…
Any ideas what is happening here?

Some additional information would be nice to be able to solve this, i.e. some error logs or similar.

hi,

i'm including a log below. if this is not the proper log, i would appreciate it if you could tell me which log you need to be able to help me.
this entry was created when trying to upload a document as collaborator. later on, i changed the profile of the user to manager, and an identical log appeared. i then tried to upload the document using my own user (profile manager) and that worked without a problem.

I am getting same problem after upgrading to 4.2.b from 4.0.d

I am facing the same problem in a Community 4.2.e instalation… but I have the problem with uploading documents for only one user and only with the folders that have associated rules!!!… it is very strange!
I am not sure what is the problem with that user!

I am having similar problem with some documents user is able to upload most of the documents but only few of the files does not get uploaded even using different accounts. faced issues with some .doc and .pdf files. .doc files was saved using Microsoft office but when i open this file and save it with openoffice then it gets uploaded. any idea or help would be appreciated.

Couple of things you might look at is the security settings on the file itself. Next I would make sure that your directory structure is setup correctly on permissions. From the very beginning of your tree to the final path. (inherited? not inherited?) ect….
